Has anyone here had any success with pre-germinating seeds?

I've read about it and the consensus was that it was a waste of time, but it could be they were using the wrong tools. Were you thinking of grass seeds?

Check out these guys. Is that what you were thinking? You could conceivably grow your own flats of sod with that approach.
