Earthworms or Pests!??

Post by Spacklerstyle » March 14th, 2021, 1:38 pm

Is this a good thing (earthworm activity) or a bad thing (mole crickets or other digging insect)? Some of the mounds seem too large to be earthworms. The heaviest concentration is in the back of the lawn near the green belt fence line. The lawn does grade that way and we had some rain last night.

Thanks in advance!

From the fingertip picture, it looks like earthworms rising. But I can't be a hundred percent sure of that, so let's see what others think.

Sure sounds and looks like earthworm castings to me. They always pop up after a rain here too. Enjoy the free aeration!
