...when the warm weather grass forum starts getting more posts. It means Springs right around the corner and with all the snow we go this year I can't wait for the warm weather. Looking forward to another informative year in the warm grass forum.

Im back from hibernation! Been thinking of the lawn a lot lately, lots of plans. Ive been mulching a ton of leaves in my front yard as the Live Oaks are shedding too.

Im giving this southern lawn one more season. If it dont work out Im moving to Colorado. Seriously. My back yard is rye right now and its frickin gorgeous! Northern folks have it so easy!

I'm getting geared up as well! My maples are beginning to bloom, and there are some green blades popping up in the lawn and around the edges. No crabgrass in sight!

I envy the southern folks for the early warm-up. Heck you guys probably start planting gardens in late Feb/early March.

Josh, be sure your oak leaves are falling down into the turf and not blanketing it.

Most are falling down onto the soil after being mulched. The grass is growing through it, already nice and green!
