Plus, don't forget that there's a significant difference between Corn Gluten and Corn Meal. Two different animals and totally different prices.LearningLawn wrote: ↑June 11th, 2018, 3:57 pmWhat are your local prices for corn gluten, soybean and alfalfa meal or pellets?

Re: Pricing for corn, soybean, and alfalfa
Hey neighbor! Alfalfa and cracked corn I get from the Rural King in Wentzville. They have sales sometimes that make it a bit cheaper. They also have milorganite for $10ish a bag, which is the cheapest I've found in the area, and urea for a good price. Soybean meal I've only found at Fenton Feed Mill. Hummerts in Maryland Heights had some of the harder to find stuff too, like SOP and K.

Does the cracked corn flow through a spreader decently?
Also-
Please tell me that cracked corn is not able to grow as corn plants....

It flows OK.
The cracking process is low-tech, and doesn't get 100% of all the corn seed. Yes, you might get a few corn plants - just mow them.

Re: Pricing for corn, soybean, and alfalfa
Where can you get cornmeal in San Antonio? I can't find any here in Corpus except at HEB (grocery) -- I did pick up corn gluten meal at a nursery in Houston Heights last year, but I can't find any cornmeal at our feed stores, although they do carry the alfalfa pellets, which I put down last summer in the front yard only... Bc my dogs wanted to eat them in the backyard ! Lol so I used Aunt Jemima in the back.

Re: Pricing for corn, soybean, and alfalfa
Two weeks ago I bought 2 bags of ordinary cornmeal at the Ful-O-Pep feed store on Rigsby near the corner of WW White on the southeast side of town. $10 per bag no tax.

At the in-town old feed store that has turned itself into something of an "Organics Specialty House"
50# Alfalfa pellets $25
50# Non-gluten corn meal $20
At the old school feed store on the East Side
50# Alfalfa pellets $14.50

Re: Pricing for corn, soybean, and alfalfa
50# Cracked Corn - $7.89 (Fleet Farm)
40# Rabbit Food - $13.29 (Fleet Farm)
50# SBM - $18 (local feed Mill)
I can get 40# of Alfalfa pellets for $13.99 at Fleet Farm but prefer using rabbit food since it flows through my Earthway 2170 better.
