Two Serrenade Questions....

Post by northeastlawn » July 2nd, 2018, 8:51 am

Probably two dumb Serrenade questions....

1.) Does it matter if the grass is wet when you apply it?

Lately I have been putting it down first thing when there is dew or I might have watered first. I realize some people do and some don't use something like BTS with it. I usually mix some BTS with it as it makes it easier to see where I sprayed and I feel it helps it sticks to the blades better. I am trying to extend how long it sticks around.

2.) Is there a best time to put it down?

Does the 90deg heat, hurt the chances of it working, I have been going back and forth if I should wait until dusk when its cooler.

I've seen recommendations that the droplet size be a little bigger when conditions are hot and DRY, but that is not typical of summers in the Northeast. I don't let temperature affect when I apply, other than if it's too hot for me to be out there.

I like to apply foliar stuff when the lawn is dry, as it doesn't drip right off. YMMV.
