ProCare Natural Fertilizer
Or, "Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Poo."
I saw this, for the first time for me today, at Home Depot as I was tanking the last of the Milo for the season.
It's listed as 4-2-0 with 2% iron in a 36 pound bag. Current price as per the Customer Service price check was $14.98. I see that my local Lowe's has it for $12.98.
Milo's (32 pounds, 6-4-0, 2.5% iron) is $15.98.
This currently still tilts the bang/buck ratio in terms of nitrogen, iron, and phosphorus toward the Milo (even from Lowe's), and the overall price per pound (important in terms of what ends up becoming humus later over time) toward the ProCare.
It's another tool to add to the box, but a minor one if you can't get anything else. The balance is still strongly toward urea, soybean meal, and Milo, in that order.
(Yes, I know that ProCare has been out for quite some time as I see information on it on Reddit from a while ago. It's the first time I've seen it in the wild, and actively advertised, though).

Looks like my local Lowe's has it for $12.97! Gotcha beat by a penny. Discount brings that to $11.67 per bag. Looks like I'll be making a stop at Lowe's and grabbing a few bags to try out myself. Thanks for the info.

I'm not saying it's a bad fertilizer, and at that price, I'd have tried it myself. Although for me, the P levels are rather high in relation to the N. I'm already over the top in terms of phosphorus.

I put 3 bags down on my 7k sqft on Saturday. I've been out of town since Sunday and coming back on Sunday. Really curious to see how it did while I'm gone..

Interesting. What state is this stuff from? And did your respective stores still have Millo alongside it? I'm not picky...just curious.

My Home Depot had a sign saying something like, "Buying Milorganite? Consider ProCare!"
So I price-checked, did the mental math, and figured out it wasn't worth my cash at that price (neither, really, is Milorganite, but I can use the iron this time around and COVID-19 makes strange bedfellows).
