Companion Biofungicide for Summer Patch

My usual suspects for sourcing Companion have dried up... I've bought from domyown.com and amazon over the last couple years and neither seem to have it available. I do see Cease at domyown which is the same bacillus subtilis as Companion. But they're quick to note that it's not labeled for lawns. I've really seen improvement over the last few years with applications of Companion and azoxystrobin as soil temps warm up, then continued companion through Spring and into early summer. But the two spots I have in the back yard are still pretty big and I'd like to continue. Any sourcing help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

And... I'm wrong. Cease is the same as Serenade.. bacillus subtilis QST713, whereas Companion is bacillus subtilis GB03. :blackeye:
So, really having trouble finding same active ingredient as Companion. Darn...

OK, I'm up for some education here. What's the subtype difference?

Yes, would like to know as well. Dangit, I think I just gave myself homework :) I find it interesting that two strains of the same bacteria are utilized for the same thing but in different ways... Serenade (QST713) is used as a foliar spray while Companion (GB03) is watered in to the root system.

It looks like we both have some work to do. :-)

It gets more complicated... Companion liquid uses the bacillus subtilis GB03, whereas Companion wettable powder uses Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain ENV503. I've been using Companion liquid for the last 3 years to mild success with the summer patch. Wondering if the other product would be any better..except I can only find it in "large" quantities I'd likely never use. My search for understanding the differences between the QST713 and GB03 didn't yield much (that I could understand anyway.)

I haven't had the time or inclination to look around yet, and definitely won't have time tomorrow. There are currently five flats of recalcitrant plants in my office, slowly sprouting. It's starting to get a little...late.

I'm about to throw my hands up on this one. I can't find what I'm looking for, namely the best biofungicide for preventing Summer Patch. A Serenade preventative regimen has done wonders for most other fungal pressure I've had.

I don't mind dropping the hammer with Azoxystrobin, but was hoping that more preventative measures could be found as well.

Assuming company names are OK to mention, AM Leonard often has Companion as well. I purchased some from them around the time this thread was started. For a while in 2020, everyone seemed to mostly be out, and I think the branding changed at some point in the last year or two, to complicate matters.
