Toro updates TimeMaster Engine

Post by OldGlory » March 29th, 2017, 4:51 am

The old version was under powered. Hopefully the new engine fixes this issue.

Toro has unveiled a new engine in Toro TimeMaster 30" mowers. New models are now equipped with a Briggs & Stratton Professional Series 1000 engine, their most powerful walk power mower engine, which offers increased gross torque and displacement compared to previous models.

It was a violation of US copyright law. Posting the entire content of an article originally published elsewhere is a violation of the law.

It's allowed to quote a paragraph or two (the Courts have allowed that as "Fair Use."). But it is not legal to paste the entire article.

Ah. Fair enough.

Well, I bought the new one this past weekend. Too is running some good financing deals right now. Can't compare it to the old one but it did great on my first cut of the season on grass that was a little wet. It did have to work a little bit harder on the taller part but didn't bog. Definitely saved me some time. I really like it!

Wow! This is great news! I had one, and exchanged for another because I didn't like the way that engine sounded. Then, the engine on the exchanged-for mower went bad and I had to have it replaced. Fortunately all under warranty but it was a huge hassle. Great mower otherwise. I miss the cut.

I subscribe to a guy named Ryan Knorr on YouTube and he just recently had a video on this mower. He replaced his older Timemaster with the new model specifically because of the new engine.

Check out his channel, it's good stuff.

Put the Timemaster to a test tonight. I wasn't able to mow my unrenovated backyard for a little over two weeks. Its had two helpings of cheap 12-12-12 for the p and k so the grass/weeds were a foot tall in most spots. It did well mulching at the highest setting at the beginning but, unsurprisingly, couldn't handle the volume and stalled. I switched to side discharge and it ate through it like a champ. I like this mower a lot so far.
