I've seen so many different methods and variations when it comes to selecting a nozzle for blanket (or large area) sprays, calibrating the sprayer, and even when it comes down to the actual spraying technique (i.e. which direction you walk, which direction you have your spray set to come out, whether or not you wave the wand back and forth, etc.). I think this is something that should be discussed more, so I'm starting a thread to see if I can learn anything new.
So what's your preferred spraying technique and equipment?
Your preferred nozzle type and spraying technique?

Re: Your preferred nozzle type and spraying technique?
I've always walked backwards while blanket treating. Until the UTV sprayer showed up I used a STIHL SG21 in the woods and a Solo battery powered backpack in the yard. I don't mind the cone nozzle the STIHL came with for woodland broadleaf. The Solo has a brass TeeJet that I really like. I played with the air inducing anti drift nozzles on the Solo, but could not get a good spray pattern due to a lack of pressure.
