Weed-Killing Robots Soon?
Here's a topic that I think will generate a good number of comments and postings. It seems companies that make herbicides are scrambling to position themselves for the advent of weed-killing robots. Whether we're talking about farms, sports locations or residential homes, this could (long-term) mean 20X less herbicide use.

I read that article the other day, thought it was really interesting.
Can't wait for the homeowner version with a little robot that hunts down Poa Trivialis and Poa Annua and sprays some Certainty and Tenacity on them.

I'd buy it in a heartbeat and hook it up to my smart home.
Seems a no brainer for golf courses and homes. You could literally have it paint glyphosate all evening on tiny plants - much safer and far less herbicide and labor.
I wonder how good it will be at distinguishing poa annua from KBG?

Re: Weed-Killing Robots Soon?
A few years ago one of my co workers was doing a experiment with another company, they had a drone that could identify weeds and mark on a google earth map. It identified by color from what I heard was incredibly accurately. Never got to many details and last I heard they added a 2 quart sprayer onto it
