Lowe's is offering a battery powered Troy-Bilt at the same price point. I've heard that Cub Cadet and Husqvarna are exploring the residential electric riding market, too.

On the commercial end, the Mean Green Mowers have been around for a few years. http://www.meangreenproducts.com/

I love my DeWalt electric string trimmer and blower and not fussing with 2 stroke gas, but I don't think I'd pay twice as much for an electric mower (over the gas version). When the prices come down I'll be ready though.
