Unmount? Balance? What is this?
My blade is fifteen years old. Yes, yes, I know. It has more nicks than my oldest cloud paintbrush. It still works, durn it. It chops the entire garden every year.
The mower has a clothes line jiggered in to start it. The power line is a steel cable wrapped around the band that broke. I'm on the third spark plug. That older B&S engine still runs like new and starts on the first pull 85% of the time.
I'll replace it when I can't fix it myself any longer.

Re: Sharpening my own blades; what tool to use
As an update, I recently installed a set of Gator G6 blades on my tractor. I cut last week, but didn't have too many leaves. This week, I had a lot of leaves to mulch. The new blades absolutely pulverized the leaves. The factory mulching blades did ok, but these were much better and turned the leaves to 1/4" particulate dust. Really pleased.
