New mower

Post by ChrisT03 » May 26th, 2020, 11:22 pm

Looking for some recommendations for a new mower. Currently I own a 20+yr old snapper that’s on its way out. There are so many options out there. I was looking at toro personal pace 22” (model 20333). I would like to keep the price under 500$. I’m not sure what features to look for that are important.

I really don't think you could go wrong with a Toro. I have a 2010 Personal Pace that I bought used from the Toro dealer back in 2015. It still works like a charm and it's easy for me to find parts/service locally.

I've never owned a Honda before, but they seem extremely popular with the folks that like to mulch due to the twin blade setup. I hear that they absolutely shred dry leaves to dust. I definitely see a Honda in my future, but I may skip straight to a reel mower!

Good luck with your purchase!

Mulching; that’s all I do. I haven’t had a bag on the mower in years. Keep the blades sharp and the motor running well.
I bought a well used Honda hrx(?) several years ago and it has worked well. I just wanted a good mulching mower and have no complaints.
