Electric dethatcher
Looking for any help with electric dethatcher. The Sun Joe or Greenworks. I am turning 70 this year and raking my thatch out is getting a little too much for my arms wondering if they are worth the money?

Re: Electric dethatcher
I own one. I actually find it very handy. I got mine on Amazon for around $80-90. Definitely beats raking by hand. The problem is if you have a large yard now you gotta be able to run a cord (insert your distance here).

Re: Electric dethatcher
Before doing anything, do you really have a thatch problem?
Most people who think they have a thatch problem don't.
Why spend money to fix a problem if it doesn't exist?

Re: Electric dethatcher
Take out a vertical core and post a side view of the core so we can see the thatch against the soil level. Something is wrong if you are building up thatch repeatedly. Either that, or it's not thatch...
