Re: Earthway S15 Sprayer Review
Just an update on my S15 spray gun. After calling Earthway(nice people), I received my replacement spray gun today. After installing the replacement spray gun and holding it below water level to prime it, I'm happy to say that after a few pumps it started spraying! Thanks to Jeff and the folks at Earthway for the excellent customer service I received both here and on the phone.
To add onto ericgautier's post above, I too only received one nozzle(gray). I ended up ordering a green Turbo Floodjet nozzle though, because by Earthway's calibration chart it applies exactly 1gal/1000sqft, which is what the majority of my spraying will be.

Looks like I'll be calling Earthway too. Tried out the S15 today for the first time and the spray gun doesn't work. I followed the steps you did and nada.ENVY23 wrote:Just an update on my S15 spray gun. After calling Earthway(nice people), I received my replacement spray gun today. Question.. how much "effort" should it take to push the S15? Should it feel similar to a broadcast spreader? There is a "stickiness" to it when pushing forward.. is this how it is suppose to feel?

Eric,
Send me your address and I'll have the parts sent. The extra nozzles are in a bag that is zip tied to the axle - along with the extra knurled pins. Regarding hard to push, for the first few uses it will be harder.

Re: Earthway S15 Sprayer Review
So I have used mine a couple of times and like others I can't get the hand sprayer to work. I have tried the trick about holding it low but still nothing. Today I called Earthway and the person told me it can take 50-60 pumps of the hand sprayer before it will work. Does this sound right to everyone, that sounds excessive to me? Has that been your experience?
BTW - The sprayer itself is awesome. Big time saver.

Re: Earthway S15 Sprayer Review
Make sure that you have pushed the filled sprayer before trying the hand spray gun. You may have air in the line if it's not sprayed out of the tip first.

Re: Earthway S15 Sprayer Review
Yeah, tried that. Last time I stopped and tried the hand sprayer, down low, in the middle of spraying so I was sure it was properly primed. Is that 50 - 60 pumps really what it should take? If so does it take that every time?

It should be only for the initial setup.

Re: Earthway S15 Sprayer Review
Tried again and gave up after 150 pumps of the handheld sprayer. Anything else to try?

Re: Earthway S15 Sprayer Review
Just wondering, did you try unscrewing the tip? If all has been done, send me your address via our web site for a replacement

Re: Earthway S15 Sprayer Review
I haven't had any luck with the spot sprayer either, though I'm sure I gave up well before 50-60 squeezes. Thankfully I don't have much of a need for that piece

Re: Earthway S15 Sprayer Review
Guys, I need your input... watch the video and lmk if this is normal for the S15? I have to really "muscle" it to get it to move. Is something wrong?

No idea if that is normal but you can probably skip a trip to the gym after pushing that thing around.ericgautier wrote:Guys, I need your input... watch the video and lmk if this is normal for the S15? I have to really "muscle" it to get it to move. Is something wrong?

Earthway S15 Sprayer Review
Yeah seriously. I could save some $$ from my gym membership. I did one pass around the perimeter and gave up.McLovin wrote:

You can also try sending a PM to a member here named JeffK. He's an Earthway rep and previously helped me with an issue I had.
EDIT: I just saw where you also spoke with him previously.
