Re: Earthway S15 Sprayer Review
I just fill mine with clean water and run it around the driveway for a bit to make sure everything is cleaned out.

Ganny,
I recommend draining out any remaining solution and put it is a sealed container for future use. Next, find a spot where you can safely rinse the tank and lines by pushing it back and forth (I stand in one spot and push forward and then pull back) several times until clean. Then empty the tank. You can also use a commercially available tank cleaner.

Re: Earthway S15 Sprayer Review
Sounds awesome, better to push 70 lbs, than having to continually throw a 40lb backpack on after filling it(worst part) and lugging that around.
This is a no brainer, and will get one after I build my shed...I have too much stuff already in the garage.
Thanks for the review, I'm assuming you are still happy with it since I haven't seen an update.
Thanks Again

Re: Earthway S15 Sprayer Review
Just ran mine again for the second time this year and the sticking in the gear box that I was getting is gone and it seems to be working perfectly again!!!

Re: Earthway S15 Sprayer Review
Thinking about getting one.. but silly question, how do you drain the tank? Is there a drain plug? Or you need to tip it over to drain?

Take the lid off and turn it upside down.

Re: Earthway S15 Sprayer Review
Picked mine up today, any tips for getting the handheld sprayer to spray? I tried for about 15min to get it to spray with 2 gallons of water in it. The book doesn't speak much of the hand held sprayer.

Re: Earthway S15 Sprayer Review
Hi,
First make sure that you have the pump "primed" with water. Next, extend the spray-gun hose and hold it below the tank level, then pull the trigger several times to prime the spray-gun. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me directly at jkendall@earthway.com

Re: Earthway S15 Sprayer Review
Thanks Jeff! I pushed it all over the driveway spraying water, and it worked well, but didn't hold the spray gun below water level to prime it. I will give that a try tomorrow evening after work. Thanks again for the quick reply and excellent customer service!

Re: Earthway S15 Sprayer Review
Jeff/anyone,
What's the main differences between the s15 and s25?
I have the s25 and always have an inch of fluid in the bottom when it stops spraying. Anyway to remedy that?
Thank you
David

Re: Earthway S15 Sprayer Review
Hi David,
Main difference is the S15 is smaller and really designed for home use, the S25 is larger and built for daily use - and it's easier to push. With regards to the S25 stopping the spraying - this is a function of the flat bottom and the waves inside the take as it allows the pump to suck air. It's not idea for sure, and I recommend spraying any hills before the level of the fluid gets too low. Neither unit will empty completely and when we design the next generation I will add a functioning low point - like a cup in the tank to prevent this issue. I have toyed with the idea of adding a small reservoir below the tank to remedy the situation. If I solve the problem I'll post it here.

Re: Earthway S15 Sprayer Review
Thank you sir.
I'm sure you're right. A low point tank design would fix it.
If you come up with a fix on the current model, definitely let us know. (I'm not asking for freebies.) I like the sprayer... just would like it better if I could get that last half gallon out.
Thank you again for the quick response.

Ditto. I have the S25. I love it. I would be willing to pay for a retrofit for that issue.nothing0 wrote:Thank you sir.

Re: Earthway S15 Sprayer Review
Jeff,
Filled with 3 gallons of water, pushed around the driveway again in both Transport and Spray modes, held the gun below the water level and tried spraying in both spray and transport mode, and still couldn't get it to work. Any other suggestions or things I should check? Not sure if it's related, but when I unscrew the lid after pushing it around, it doesn't "hiss" like my handheld pump sprayer does when under pressure. Not sure if it's supposed to or not, because the push sprayer works fine. Just can't get the handheld to work. Thanks!

Re: Earthway S15 Sprayer Review
The tank is not under pressure so it shouldn't hiss. The pump creates the pressure. If the pump sprays and the unit works other than the spray gun, it might be a bad gun.

Re: Earthway S15 Sprayer Review
Thanks Jeff, everything else works great, just can't get the gun to spray. Should I take it back to Northern Tool and exchange it? It hasn't had any chemicals in it, just the water, and has only been pushed around my driveway as I was practicing making passes. Thanks again for the quick reply!

Re: Earthway S15 Sprayer Review
Just opened up my S15.. question, should I have gotten extra nozzles? The description on the site where I bought it from stated, "Includes fine, medium and coarse nozzle tips to easily control application rate". Just curious if I have to purchase the extra nozzles separately or if they are included. Thanks.
