I would like to get my hands on some cuttings from a Yoshino Cherry blossom tree from DC. I know a little bit about the history and have visited during the cherry blossom festival. I obviously don't want someone to try to go to the Whitehouse or the national mall and cut one of those but thought somebody might live there and have some. I know there are lots of places online selling them from all over the place but just for the kicks and giggles thought it would be cool to grow a couple that were from DC. From what I have read they can be grown from cuttings. I am going to start looking into how hard it is to have success this way.
I have started a weeping willow tree from a cutting and it was simple, those things grow like weeds. I am guessing these won't be quite that simple but would love to give it a try.
