You might be a lawn crazy if...

Post by HoosierDaddy » July 10th, 2016, 9:01 pm

(To the tune of You might be a redneck)

...you chase a single leaf into the neighbor's yard in the fall because no free OM is leaving your lawn! (I've actually done this and realize how crazy it must have looked)

Not going to get a better one than that, people cant believe it when I tell them I'm killing my lawn

Bagging leaves from the street and dumping them on your lawn to mulch in is pretty close though.

Yup. Multiple times, and the ability to keep saying it to people that ask "why", knowing full well that they will get a "he's very ill" look -- that's one of the true marks.

If lawn care becomes your only hobby.... Or if your neighbors think you are a mad scientist with all the spraying that you do.

You end up in urgent care after getting your finger stuck in a cement mixer while mixing micros in your backyard.

You can't mow your entire lawn in one day, because it has to be "just perfect".

When you're telling your neighbor everything you're putting on the lawn and their eyes glaze over.

When you take pictures after you mow, every time you mow. True story, I did this for 5 years.

you wait until the sun is just right before taking that picture after you just mowed, even if it means standing there waiting for 10 minutes for it to go behind that approaching cloud so that you can have even, diffuse lighting on the entire lawn.

It meets at my place.

When your neighbor literally says "You are crazy. It was already a golf course" ...... and you disagree with him - about the golf course part.
