Unexpected bonus at new job!
No not a monetary one. Would have been nice but anyway...I recently transferred to another location with the same company. Was driving home the other day and saw a truck with a bunch of mulch bags on the bed. On the side of said truck was a logo. It said Site One. Checked on Google and apparently there is a store right around the corner from me. Good news indeed.

Nice! If it's the North Haven store, Kevin, the manager, is awesome!

Cool! He brought in a skid of Milorganite last Spring specifically because a couple of people, including myself, were interested in it. The prices on Milorganite there are a lot better than at other places in our area. I also bought Sustane fertilizer, as well as a 0-0-7 product combining Dimension and Chlorantraniliprole grub prevention into one bag.

Green, just wondering if you recall the price on the milo. I usually get it from big box stores for around $12 to $13 a bag. Also great to hear they have the 007 dimension. Was looking for it this spring but had no luck so I ended up with the lesco 19 0 7. I'm wanting to move away from synthetics but Im still sitting on a couple bags I got at work cheap a year or so ago. At least now I can use that stuff up and not have to worry about overdosing the lawn.

About $16 per bag...but for 50-lb bags with 6% N, instead of the regular 36-lb bags with ~5.3% N. (5% is a conservative estimate even though that's what the label says, and regular Milo tends to be a bit higher in N in actuality, while the "pro" bags are exactly 6% N and also a bit higher in fast release N.) But definitely stop in and ask about it in early March so they know people are interested again.
I was getting the 36-lb bags for $14 this past year...they went up a bit since last year at least where I was buying from.

Also, I'm sure you will enjoy talking with Kevin...he has a degree in turf.

Update...Maybe you've already talked with them, but I recently inquired about the Milo for this year, and they do plan to get some in, in the next few weeks I guess. They are also going to have a newer product called Screamin' Green 16-2-3, which is a combination of ammonium sulfate, urea, coated urea, Milo (actually Ocean Gro, I believe), Iron, and SOP. Basically, it's a mix of everything, with a nearly 50/50 fast/slow release ratio. I've used it in late Summer/ early Fall for the "new method" of Fall Fertilization in the past (as outlined by osuturfman on here a couple of years ago...but essentially it's a non-aggressive alternative to the aggressive Fall regimen that many of us here use).
So yeah, this season looks promising. Also check out Valley Green as well...they're another great supplier that's similar to SiteOne. I buy from both.
