Is there a preferred brand of Trichlopyr?
For those that have used it, I was wondering if there was a preferred brand.
My intended used was for clover and creeping Charlie in my lawn, not woody brush as some versions appear to be aimed at.
Thanks in advance.

I think they're all pretty much the same. The one I found was Ortho brand (Scotts).

No preferred brand, but a strong preference for saving money by buying a stronger 60+% concentrate. See this post and this thread.

My only experience is with the Ortho brand (8% Tri) I picked up at the big orange box store. It’s a slow kill, you need to be patient but it does work. I will apply, set a reminder on my calendar for 2 weeks away and repeat the application.

There actually ARE some differences, but it isn't a brand thing - it's about formulations. Ester formulations are more active, but can have spray drift that affects nearby plants that you don't want to hurt. The amine formulations drift less, but aren't quite as active.
And then there's the surfactant question - as you get up into the gallon+ sizes, the products are more aimed at the professional users, and it becomes up to you to translate the instructions. Not all have surfactants, so make sure to add some if it's not already there. Instructions for dilution may be in quarts of concentrate per acre, not ounces per 1000 sq ft. Buyer beware!

Andy - I was hoping you would look in here, but realize that you don't have time to comment on every thread. I had been looking at the Esther based version. I appreciate your feedback on this.
