Grubs & Japanese Beetle Damage
Hello all, I recently noticed that Japanese Beetles have absolutely destroyed my rose bushes in the front and back. Apparently none of my neighbors want to treat their lawns with grub prevention, so I get all of their Japanese beetles from the grubs in the ground...
Is now a good time to apply grub prevention on the yard. I applied grub killer about 2 months ago, but like I said, no grub damage in my lawn, but I do have japanese beetles killing all my roses (even after applying neem oil).
What are you all's thoughts on this issue?

Unless all your neighbors do the same, grub prevention in your own yard will do nothing to save your rose bushes. Here are my thoughts and approach on the subject:

Thanks Timmy, I may pick up some of those trap and hang them around various places. Do not really have an effective place to hang them in the front yard, but ill do some brain storming.TimmyG wrote: ↑June 11th, 2018, 1:37 pmUnless all your neighbors do the same, grub prevention in your own yard will do nothing to save your rose bushes. Hang them on shepherd's hooks (or similar) a few feet above the grass and away from their favorite meal plants. If you have a lawn, you have an effective place to hang them.
