What are you paying for Urea this year?

So it's time to stock up on the Urea for the Fall and the winterizer.

What are you paying, where and for what quantity?

I'll start - I paid $22 for 80 lb bags at CPS/Nutrien Ag in Florida, NY. That's $0.275 per lb. I bought 240 lbs.

I stopped at one of the many farmer's coops on the way to work. I filled up three 5 gallon buckets. Asked the guy what is the damage? He said how about 5 bucks.

105 lbs for $5.

I bought it from the coop last year 7 min. away owned by the same company. That was $10 a buck which is about 35 lbs.

Is there a viable option for getting Urea online and not paying an arm and a leg for shipping? My local Site One closed last year.

No. Shipping exceeds product cost. Where so you live?

$22.50 for 50# bags at Long Island Cauliflower Association. They also have SOP and several fertilizer blends.
Could probably order it cheaper at bissett, but never seen it stocked there.

Haven't bought for winterizing but called closest Agway and they wanted $26+tax for a 50lbs bag. Might look around for a cheaper price.

I bought bags instead of bulk this year. About 30 cents / lb.

Bought my year's supply of urea at Achille Agway in Milford, NH. It was $19.99 for a 50-pound bag of the plain, generic stuff.

Wasn't plan on doing the Fall Regimen with Urea this year but I called around for the price of 1 50lbs bag for winterizing and the lowest price I found is $14.25 for 50lbs. I ended up buying 5 bags for. 1 for winterizing and 4 for the ~8weeks of Fall regimen.

That's a great price for northern MA. Where, exactly, did you end up getting it?

Hi KNN,
Henniker Country farm is where I went for the great price of $14.25 within an hour from me. The same Green Mountain brand Urea is sold at Agway near me for $26.50 plus tax!
https://www.hennikerfarm.com
They also have MOP for 13.50$. Very tempting because SOP is about 70$.

That is quite the haul from anywhere in northern MA and explains why I've never heard of Henniker, NH.

Henniker is a unique place - the town prides itself as being "The Only Henniker On Earth."

I'm up that way from time to time, so maybe I'll plan to purchase my yearly supply of urea there next year...

Thanks to This is me for posting the supplier info.
