Correct oil for a snowblower

Post by southern-ct-4 » November 19th, 2018, 2:56 pm

I have a Toro 726 and it says to "Use automotive detergent oil with an API service classifcation of SF, SG, SH, SJ, SL, or higher."

Is this oil ok to use: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006P0WNMW ? It says "Meets API SN and ILSAC GF-5", and I assume 'SN' as referenced herein is higher than SL... so I should be ok, correct?

Thank you!

I use car oil in mower with no issue. 10W30 for summer and 5W30 for winter (snowblower)
