71GTO 2019 soil Test

Post by 71GTO » March 11th, 2019, 7:27 pm

Here is my 2019 soil test. I think maybe with all the heavy rain we had last year maybe many of my lime and fert need up in the street or the neighbors yard... I still felt like I saw progress. Thanks in advance.

71GTO, do you have any records of what you applied (and when) last year?

This is what I was able to get down last year as far as fert and lime. Last year was bad with rain and timing.
3/31/18 dimension app 6 pounds
5/5/18 dimension 4 pounds
5/26/18 lime and Epsom salt.
6/19/18 fert and tenacity 10-10-10
7/13/18 lime epsom salt
9/22/18 fert 10-10-10
10/14/18 fert 10-10-10
11/3/18 lime

That's a pretty sandy soil, and it's not showing as much progress as I'm sure you'd like - the only thing that I can suspect is leaching through the soil/sand. I had some hope that the OM might hope, but that doesn't seem to be holding much in the way of nutrients. That's a big drop in the pH.

I don't have a better plan than the one I gave you last year, for your scenario. See if staying on-top of the applications brings it back this year, and please let me know if you're not seeing any progress in 90 days.

I'm sorry I don't have more to offer - that plan I used works 90%+ of the time...

Thanks Andy, I have no problem sticking to the plan. I was sure there would be some issues along the way. We had so much rain last year, I’m talking a steam in the back yard a few times. Usually right after I put something down. How ever I beat back some serious weeds and got grass growing in the deadzone last year.
