What are your thoughts on Scotts Foundation Soil Conditioner
These are the claims
Naturally works to reduce soil compaction, boost water and nutrient retention, and support microbial activity.
Scotts® Foundation Soil Improver can be used in your lawn on all grass types and in gardens.
Contains natural ingredients to strengthen your lawn's soil.
Apply in spring to improve soil before the growing season.
Apply in fall to improve soil conditions for overseeding and aeration.
They don't really say what's in it. I might have to go look at an actual bag to try and find out. Anyone know if it's worth it or just stick to BLSC as described on this site?
I already a ordered Humic/Fulvic/Kelp blend

The bag I saw at my local Ace Hardware store was on sale for $24.99 for a 25# bag and listed the following ingredients:
Volcanic Ash - 60%
Coconut Husk Biochar - 30%
Attapulgite Clay - 10%

Volcanic ash? Seems that a soil test and a conditioning plan with BLSC is a better solution.

Are you saying some soap and humic stuff is better than having parts of volcano on your lawn? What would you rather tell the neighbors when they ask how your lawn is so nice:
I put soap on my lawn
I put ashes from a mysterious volcano on my lawn

Don't laugh - volcanic ash is an excellent natural source of many minerals and micronutrients. It is similar to stone dust in many ways.
The commercial product Azomite is an example of other products that seek to help the soil. You don't need a fake Scottish guy screaming at you to "Feed your lawn! Feed it!!" to make a product valuable.
That said, I personally would pass on that product because of the markup that's involved, and the filler that you're paying for.

Dinosaurs vs Volcanos. Who will win the great lawn duel. Sounds like a movie.

is any of this significantly better than just buying a bag of peat moss for $10 and spreading it?

We need only find a volcanic eruption that killed off some dinosaurs and sell the stuff nearby as a miracle lawn supplement. It would be easy to sell since those lawn care nut types will buy almost anything, we'd be millionaires.
