Good evening,
I reseeded a new area and over seeded the entire front lawn 10 days ago. Starting to see some germination and keeping moist.
Any concerns putting down a grain like alfalfa pellets this close to seeding?
Thanks!

There are no exceptions to the "wait for Sprout-and-Pout" to end. Nitrogen is Nitrogen.
PS: that said, Alfalfa is not a grain. It is a forage crop.

Re: New seedlings and grains
Nitrogen may eventually be "nitrogen" but with alfalfa it takes 3 weeks. And by "nitrogen" I mean the type of chemical nitrogen exchanged by the roots, not the gas. The nitrogen in alfalfa is in the form of protein (amino acids) which take some time to decompose to the form taken by the roots. You have to be thinking 3 weeks ahead.
