Alfafa Stink
OT.....been brewing up Alfalfa tea for the shrubs. I knew it had a -smell- in liquid form but OMG, don't get the -tea- on your skin. I just got my hands a smidge wet by scooping it out of the 32G container. The smell does not wash off the hands easily, and it's been a few wash/rinse cycles !

Oh yeah, it stinks. I found an old mesh gym bag that I use to hold the Alfalfa, and it avoids a lot of the direct contact when cleaning up a brew.

Ha. Now I know to treat the sludge or even the fermented tea like gasoline. Wear gloves....
I was smelling like a wet horse for a good 2/3 of my day yesterday

Yes, don't get it wet. Why did you make tea out of it? What are you putting it on?

Re: Alfafa Stink
I use a heaping handful of alfalfa pellets under the roses once a month through the growing season. I happen to be out of alfalfa currently so I'm using corn meal the same way.

Re: Alfafa Stink
I used to do the same Dchall ....just pull mulch bag, apply around drip line and mulch goes back.
Seems the consensus is the -tea- is more direct, and encourages basal break
