After the aggressive urea, my grass continues pretty strong growth and really looks. I've dropped urea Nov 16 in 2018 and Nov 20 in 2019. This year? Who knows, but I'm counting on expert guidance from you guys.

1:18 AM. Channel 7 just finished up with Kolchak: The Night Stalker. It just hit official 33 air temperature. Frost has formed on the grass when I let the dogs out.
I loved that show (and the movie)! Temps here in the 50s, but tons of rain today. Trick or treat in our area will be a wet one...

Expecting 1"-2" of rain here today, and an inch or so of SNOW tomorrow.

Yuck. Just pouring rain here today from Zeta and then icy cold tomorrow for the Trick or Treaters. Who are somehow still on despite the spiraling COVID cases.

This year, we're not doing it. I just have visions of hundreds of little infection vectors pointing thither and yon all over the Township. I'm even spraying Lysol on packages from online art stores.

I agree. It is still on here also. The next town over cancelled theirs. Soooo...... guess who is coming to my town?. My better half has multiple health issues so I will put a sign on the door." Not participating due to the pandemic." Unfortunate but I have to protect the castle.

Snowing here - that's certainly going to make leaf cleanup "interesting" tomorrow...

It got chilly enough for a couple of days that i set up my trainer and moved my road bike inside.

But it's been unseasonably warm recently. I've been riding my backup bike outside the last few days and will continue to do so until next Saturday, when temperatures are supposed to drop about 20 degrees to more normal ranges.

We had our first frost last night, one week later than the average first frost and a week earlier than the last two years here.

I'm interested to see what happens here in central CT. We had some pretty cold days, and 1 really cold night which killed every flower in my yard, over the past week. However, we've also got a good amount of rain and temps for the next 6-7 days are going to be in the 60's and 70's. Grass is going to grow at a pretty unusual rate I think for November.

Here in Eastern CT. Growth has slowed a bit, but still pretty good rainfall and climbing temps should make the next few weeks very interesting to say the least.

The average first frost date for my neighborhood is Oct. 6th and it was spot-on ... woke up to frost on the morning of the 6th.

The surprise was 7" of snow on Oct. 21st (even for the Twin Cities, that's early). October was just ugly here.

Air temps in the 50s this week, stuck the thermometer in the ground yesterday and it is still about 40 degrees F at the 4" depth in the spots I checked. But it slowed significantly, much like me.

Growth is slowing a bit, but still going. Cut yesterday and the grass still looks green and healthy. Sunday heavy rains came through. Nice hard frost on Saturday, so I am suspecting that I'll be pretty close to my normal stoppage date even with the odd Fall this year.
