New Seedlings Matted Down

Post by Pirate Russ » September 2nd, 2021, 12:00 pm

I did my TTTF renovation on August 25th (yesterday was a week). I had decent germination going into yesterday. We got 8 inches of rain yesterday (in 6 hours). It seems like a lot of the germinating seed is now lying flat intertwined with the deed grass i seeded into (along with some trails of the peat moss that moved around). I tried to fluff some of it up with my leaf blower but there is a a lot that is matted down. Do we see things drying out and the grass popping up? I am thinking i need to overseed the entire area. Any suggestions?

They usually correct themselves with no issues. It's not like the plains don't get lots of thunderstorms, after all, that do this regularly.

Morph - Thanks. I will just wait it out. It actually looks slightly better today.
